Meet Karen Boyer

I began doing art 12 years ago working in pastels, oil pastels, collage and mixed media.  During Covid, the long at-home days seemed to lend themselves better to watercolor painting. I enjoyed the freedom of painting, and the endless variations of color available to me.  The vibrancy of flowers and plants soon led the way to birds, cats, and the human portrait.  I am always seeking to express the essence of my subject in lush, beautiful colors.
